Topfield TF7700HSCI
New Zealand's First High Definition Satellite PVR
Benefits
The Topfield TF7700HSCI is New Zealand's first true full high definition satellite PVR. You can now watch Freeview Satellite via HDMI up scaled to 1080i - giving you over 13 free channels in perfect clarity on your HD plasma or LCD TV, with no subscription.
While New Zealand's has only a few HD broadcasts via satellite (and none from Freeview Satellite), the Topfield TF7700HSCI has a high quality upscaler to give you perfect pictures on an HD plasma or LCD TV. The HDMI output will upscale to 576i, 576p, 720p or 1080i. And while Freeview has no plans at this stage to upgrade the satellite service to DVB-S2 high definition broadcasts, when other broadcasters begin to broadcast HD to New Zealand, you will be future proofed with the Topfield TF7700HSCI.
Plus along with all these features, this unit supports an external USB Hard drive to turn it into a PVR with all the features you have come to expect from the Topfield range of PVR's. The size of the HDD is then your choice for how much information you wish to save. The TF7700HSCI will then give you the ability to pause live TV, schedule recordings via the EPG or custom timers, instant replay, and record one channel while watching pre recorded footage or a second channel (from the same transponder)
We have tested this unit with the following hard drive enclosures:

We recommend Seagate, Hitachi and Western Digital hard drives for this USB PVR.
Topfield High Definition Receivers We have done extensive testing of the Topfield HD receiver before releasing it to ensure it has achieved a quality standard to ensure you get the best TV experience with Freeview Satellite and any other DVB broadcasts. We've worked hard to ensure it's easy to use and reliable. The up scaling used by Topfield is amazing and it makes the Freeview Satellite service look stunning. Topfield - Simple and right first time.
*because Sky uses a special encryption for which no Cam (card reader) is available, the TF7700HSCI can not currently be used with the Sky service. However Cams are available for other services such as Zee TV. |
